Young Women At Risk

YOUNG WOMAN ARE AT RISK OF GETTING BREAST CANCER

EARLY DECTION IS THE KEY…BUT….IF YOU ARE 34 AND UNDER YOU CAN NOT GET A MAMMOGRAM AS PART OF YOUR YEARLY PHYSICAL

WHY

Because the medical community feels that the risk of You getting Breast Cancer is Very Low. However, if you are diagnosed, “you will more than likely have an Evasive Cancer which will put you in a higher risk of DEATH”. Therefore your treatment is HARSH with a possible year of constant chemo and most of the side effects will affect you because “the more treatment you take, the more likely you will encounter those side effects”.

Women 35 yrs and older have a much better chance of their surgeon finding cancerous cells called (calcifications), which gives them a much greater chance of LIVING. Our treatment can be simple with just a lumpectomy and radiation, or just a mastectomy and back at work in 6 weeks.

At one hospital alone “20% of women under the age of 35 are diagnosed with Breast Cancer”.

“ONCE YOU HAVE A LUMP, YOU HAVE Billions OF CANCER CELLS

Now there is a 10 yr. Rule - that “whatever age your mother had breast cancer, You can get a mammogram 10 years younger,”, if you are to young to get a mammogram on a yearly basis. Check with your doctor

Survivors feel that if surgeons and oncologist would fight hard enough, a Law would be passed stating all Women should have the right to a mammogram at any age because they know the statistics, and you put them in your care.

DO YOUR BREAST EXAMS, CHECK FOR CHANGES, RASHES, FLUID FROM THE NIPPLE, AND DIMPLING. AND, DON’T BE AFRAID TO ASK QUESTIONS. WE AS SURVIVORS ARE HERE TO HELP YOU.
